Academic Course Registration
Registration for Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 is open at this time. Spring 2014 registration will begin November 4th. See the CAETE academic calendar for registration information and other important deadlines. To register, follow the registration procedures below according to your student status.
Newly Admitted Distance Degree Students (admitted into a degree program for the first semester of registration)

When we receive notification from your department/program that you have been admitted, we will send you an e-mail with instructions to register for courses online via the student portal mycuinfo.

If you have not received the above information within two weeks of your official admission offer, e-mail cerecords@colorado.edu or call 303-492-5148.

You may register online for all courses with the following exceptions:

Library, thesis, capstone, degree candidacy, and independent study courses: Submit the course information form. Permission from the instructor will also need to be submitted. Once all paperwork is submitted, you will be registered for the course(s) and will be contacted about your registration.

Main campus (in-class) courses: Submit the Course Information Form and you will be registered manually. Form can be faxed to 303-492-5335 or mailed to the address indicated on the form.
Continuing Distance Degree Students

If you have been enrolled within the last two semesters (fall and/or spring) and know your CU login and IdentiKey, go to mycuinfo and register for your courses online. If you don't know your IdentiKey, go to mycuinfo and reset or change your IdentiKey.

If you have not been enrolled in the last two consecutive semesters (fall/spring or spring/fall), you need to contact your department/program to get re-admitted. In this case, you will also need to submit the Student Data Form. Fax form to 303-492-5335 or mail the form to the address indicated on the form. We will contact you with instructions to register once we receive your registration application.

Main Campus Degree Students
Note: CAETE tuition is in addition to main campus tuition (even if you are registered full-time on main campus).

Once registration for CAETE courses opens, register for courses online at mycuinfo. Please make sure to check with your department/program to ensure your CAETE course will be accepted into your degree program. Request to drop/withdraw from a course after the deadline date due to your department/program not accepting a CAETE course does not justify a tuition refund or waiving of late drop fees.

Embedded Systems courses: submit the Course Information Form. Fax form to 303-492-5335 or mail the form to the address indicated on the form. You will be waitlisted and contacted the week before classes begin if you are enrolled.

Library, thesis, capstone, degree candidacy, and independent study courses: submit the Course Information Form. Permission from the instructor will also need to be submitted. Fax form and permission to 303-492-5335 or mail the form to the address indicated on the form. Once all paperwork is submitted, you will automatically be registered for the course(s) and will be contacted about your registration.
New Nondegree Students (not admitted into a degree program for the semester of registration and registering through CU-Boulder for the first time)

Engineering Management (EMEN) Courses: Submit the Course Information Form. Fax form to 303-492-5335 or mail the form to the address indicated on the form. Permission from the program will also need to be submitted if you are not an admitted EMP certificate student. Once all paperwork is submitted, you will automatically be registered for the course(s) and will be contacted about your registration.
Continuing Nondegree Students

Course Completion
CU students who need access to the current or previous semester course material in order to complete an IF/I may do so. Go to the Grades and Transcripts page for more info.
Education Officer Requirement
You may be required to have an education officer (EO) proctor your exams/quizzes. See education officer for more information.
Attending Class on Campus
Distance students are welcome to attend the class in which they are enrolled when it meets on campus if classroom space allows.
Change of Information
If your EO changes, or if you have a change of address or other important information, complete the Change of Student/EO Information form and mail or fax it to CAETE. You may also email caete@colorado.eduwith your change(s). Allow three business days for the change to be processed.
