Technical Requirements
To successfully stream or download a course, your computer, browser, and Internet connection should meet these minimum technical requirements.
Minimum Requirements

Intel or AMD Processor 1Ghz or higher (1.8Ghz or higher for OSX).

512 MB of RAM or more.

Windows XP SP2 or greater, OSX 10.4.8 or greater.

Internet Explorer 7, or 8, Firefox 3, Safari 3, 4 or 5. Google Chrome is not supported at this time.

Silverlight 4 or higher and Flash 10 or higher

Windows Media Player 11 (Windows platforms only)

56 Kbps Dial-up for audio only, 512 Kbps or faster DSL/Cable connection for video.

Outgoing TCP Ports 8080, 1935, 80, 443, 1755 to echo360.colorado.edu & engineeringonline.colorado.edu.
Linux is not officially supported, but has been know to work with Firefox 3.x, Moonlight 2, & Flash 10. We will provide Linux technical support on a case-by-case basis.

You may verify that your system functionality by viewing some of our sample lectures. Professors may use different recording systems based upon their preference, so please be sure to test both of the sample lectures.
