Instructors use various course management tools. The most common ones are CULearn, Desire 2 Learn (D2L) and eCollege. These tools contain course materials, asynchronous discussion, assignments, a grade book, course calendar, and other features utilized by the instructors. There are no additional fees to access these tools.Contact your instructor to determine which course management tool he/she uses. Please note that CULearn will be discontinued for the fall 2012 semester.
You must register for your course first before you can obtain access to CULearn and D2L. There are several steps:
If you are a new student, your IdentiKey needs to be activated. To activate your IdentiKey, go to https://cuidm.colorado.edu and click on the “Activate your Identikey” button next to the red arrow on the left hand side of the page. Note: If you are a new student, it may take up to 24 hours (from the time you got registered) before you can activate your IdentiKey.
D2L Access: Once you have activated your IdentiKey, you will have access to D2L within 24 hours. Login to D2L by going to http://oit.colorado.edu/at.

The Engineering Management Program is the only department/program that uses this course management tool. For all technical eCollege questions contact the eCollege Helpdesk at 303-873-0005 and specify that you use eCollegedirect or contact the Engineering Management Program.
